Epix VT®

The Empi Epix VT device offers a simple-to-use dual channel design. The uncompromising quality of this device contributes to successful patient outcomes.

The Epix VT TENS device features:

Bisourced, biphasic waveform:
The combined constant voltage, constant current waveform provides a stimulus that is strong, yet comfortable for the patient. As a result, the clinician can prescribe a treatment program with better potential for long term success.

The waveform, unique among TENS devices, also provides an extra measure of patient safety. In the event an electrode pad accidentally pulls off of an Epix VT device, the stimulus will drop off, and the patient will feel no discomfort. Greater patient comfort and confidence in their TENS device translate into improved patient compliance, improved outcomes, and less need for other pain relieving products and services.

Twelve programmed treatment options: The clinician can recommend a specific option(s) or encourage a patient to select the option(s) that he or she finds most effective. The clinician can also modify individual program parameters to tailor treatment to patient needs.

Superior quality: Because patients use their TENS devices during many activities throughout the day, quality is very important.

·  Meets or exceeds the highest industry standards for TENS devices.

·  Stands up to the rigors of daily use over the long term.

·  Has a lifetime warranty on parts and labor in the U.S. and Canada. The warranty period is three years in other countries. (Limitations may apply.)

Q: What are the recommended electrode placements for any given condition?
A: Please see protocols or contact our clinical consultants at Empi
Q: What guidelines or protocols do you have to ensure the most effective use of TENS with a specific condition?
A: Please see protocols or contact our clinical consultants at Empi.
Q: Can TENS be safely used with a pregnant patient?
A: According to FDA guidelines, the safety of TENS devices for use during pregnancy has not been established. Please see scientific evidence for additional information
Q: Are there any safety concerns about using a TENS device around machinery or with other implantable medical devices?
A: Some machinery or implantable medical devices may interfere with the operation of a TENS device. Examples include equipment that generates high frequency or high energy electromagnetic radiation, patient monitoring equipment, and external defibrillators. In regard to implantable medical devices, please refer to our device manuals for a complete list of contraindications, warnings and precautions.
